Amazon Prime Membership Scams

Updated: Aug 28, 2023

There are scams related to Amazon Prime memberships that are cropping up in the world of schemes. Fraudsters will call, email, or text about problems with your account or talk about membership fees. These messages will ask for confirmation and provide an option to cancel the charge. DO NOT provide any account or payment information to reinstate a membership.

Amazon has stated that they will never ask for payment information over the telephone. Verify your membership account status by directly logging into your Amazon account. To see authentic email messages from Amazon, visit their Message Center at Amazon.com or through the Amazon app.
